Many missed lucid opportunities

In my dream I was lying in bed sleeping and out the windows of the wall closest to my side of the bed I could see a pink pick up truck parked in my yard. It had the Pink Panther logo from the pink home insulation tv commercials. (there are no windows at all on the wall closest to my side of the bed). The men who owned the truck were on top of my roof cutting a giant ragged hole in my roof. I got up and went over to talk to the man in charge and ask him what they were doing. He told me they were fixing the leaking places in my roof and the estimated expense would be about $15,000.00. (My actual roofing was replaced about 4 or 5 years ago and it only cost me the price of the new materials and disposal of the waste because we have lots of skilled friends who also have tools and equipment and were willing to spend a three day weekend getting it done - it came out great and has never leaked at all - I'm sure I paid about $1,500.00 or less and that included feeding the work men). When I asked him who called him to come here and do this he told me "the landlord". I responded by saying "but I'm the landlord". It's ridiculous that I didn't go lucid right then!!! I proceded to walk around my house looking for shoes to put on my feet so I could go outside. I had a few single sneakers in different rooms of the house but none of them seemed to have a matching one. I was ready to put on a set that doesn't match and go outside anyway. I managed to find a set that matched and when I got outside the three men were in the pick up truck about to pull out of my driveway. They stopped the truck to talk to me. I could see the giant gaping ragged hole they had already put into my roof. They had also put a bunch of my stuff in white kitchen garbage bags for storage and they filled my shed with them so the stuff would be out of the way while working on the roof.
I woke feeling a bewildered and in disbelief. Clearly there were sooooooo many opportunities for me to go Lucid and it just didn't happen. I don't get it sometimes.
Anyone have any thoughts on this one?
